Fallen service members flown into Dover Air Force Base

The bodies of the 13 service members killed in Thursday’s Kabul terrorist attack have been returned home to the U.S. The troops’ remains were flown to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on Sunday, where Joe Biden oversaw the dignified transfer of the remains and paid his respect to the fallen troops.
Biden was joined by several top officials, including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley. Biden also met privately with the families of the service members.
When the remains of our fallen 13 service members arrive at Dover Air Force Base, there is no more important place in the world for the Commander in Chief to be at that time than being there waiting at that tarmac.

Biden marks the fourth U.S. president to oversee the dignified transfer of fallen service members from Afghanistan.
