EU Antitrust Regulators Seek Feedback on Microsoft’s Remedies for Activision Blizzard Acquisition
According to sources, EU antitrust regulators are reaching out to Microsoft’s rivals and customers to assess the impact of the tech giant’s proposed remedies in order to gain approval from the UK competition agency for its $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard.
The European Commission had previously approved the deal in May, contingent on Microsoft granting licenses for popular Activision games like “Call of Duty” to competing game streaming platforms. However, the Ubisoft deal was not included in the EU’s offer.
