Former Ukrainian prosecutor alleges Biden family involvement in bribery.
Former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Accuses Biden of Corruption
In a recent interview, former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin made explosive claims about Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Shokin alleges that he was fired after Biden pressured the Ukrainian president to terminate him while he was investigating the energy company Burisma. According to Shokin, he believes that the Bidens were being bribed by the company.
Shokin asserts that he was dismissed towards the end of the Obama administration when Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid unless he was let go. He insists that there were no complaints about his performance and that the entire ordeal was a humiliation for his country. Shokin claims that Hunter Biden was appointed to Burisma’s board of directors to protect the company’s CEO and founder, Mykola Zlochevsky.
Shokin states, ”I have no doubt that there were illegal activities engaged in by Burisma. As a matter of fact, the criminal case had been started before me. It continued to expand and Zlochevsky started bringing in people who could provide protection for him. Hunter Biden was among them, and the corruption network expanded as a result. So, yes, there was no doubt in my mind that Burisma was engaged in illegal activities.”
According to Shokin, he was fired because if he had continued his investigation, he would have uncovered the corrupt activities of Burisma. He claims that prosecutors were looking into various counts, including the illegal production and sale of gas by the company.
When asked about the possibility of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden receiving bribes, Shokin responded, “I do not want to deal in unproven facts, but my firm personal conviction is that, yes, this was the case.” He further questions whether Biden’s decision to give away $1 billion in U.S. money in exchange for his dismissal is not itself a case of corruption.
