The New York civil trial targeting 45th President Donald Trump continues with his middle son, Eric Trump, returning to the stand.
On Thursday, he testified saying that he had never worked with the Trump Organization’s statement of financial condition and “didn’t know anything about it” up until recently.
Eric is scheduled to continue his testimony on Friday.
On the other hand, Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., took to the stand earlier this week.
On Thursday, he explained the reasons why the case was not just about solely coming after his dad. Trump Jr. claimed that it is mostly about the judicial system and how it operates in favor or against someone.
“I mean, I think it’s a truly scary precedent for New York,” he stated. “For me, for example, before even having a day in court, I’m apparently guilty of fraud for relying on my accountant to do-wait for it-accounting. I mean, think about that. What does that do for literally any other business? You pay experts millions of dollars to be experts. You sign off on what they give you and you’re liable.”
Previously, Judge Arthur Engoron refused President Trump’s call for an immediate end to the trial.
According to the 45th president, his former attorney, Michael Cohen, committed “massive perjury” when he originally testified that Trump asked him to inflate his assets.
However, Cohen later backtracked and changed his testimony to reflect that Trump did not in fact ask him to inflate any assets whatsoever.
Don Jr. said that it is clear that there is not an “equal justice system” in the present-day and that this case is a direct reflection of that.
“It’s a sad state of affairs,” the former president’s son said. “We don’t have an equal system of justice in America these days, and I thin we’re seeing that play out. The good thing is, it’s so egregious. It’s so ridiculous that I think actual hard-working Americans trying to live their American dream are starting to realize it now.”
Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, is also set to testify next week. Judge Engoron recently came down on Ivanka and forced her to testify, despite previously being dismissed from the case.
Additionally, Trump himself is expected to testify on Monday.
The case was brought forward by New York Attorney General Letitia James. James is attempting to prevent the former president from conducting business in the Big Apple.
He has consistently criticized the case, saying that he was “found guilty before the trial even began.”

How has Eric Trump’s testimony regarding the Trump Organization’s financial documents impacted the ongoing fraud case?
“The New York Civil Trial Continues: Eric Trump Testifies in Fraud Case against Trump Organization”
In an ongoing civil trial that has captivated the nation, the Trump family finds itself under scrutiny once again. The trial, which targets the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, has now entered its next phase with Eric Trump, the middle son of the former president, taking the stand.
On Thursday, Eric Trump testified that he had never worked with the Trump Organization’s statement of financial condition and claimed ignorance regarding its contents until recently. He stated that he had no prior knowledge of the organization’s financial documents that are at the center of the trial. However, despite his testimony, the trial continues to unravel the complex web of financial dealings within the Trump Organization.
Scheduled to continue his testimony on Friday, Eric Trump’s appearance on the stand highlights the ongoing legal battle faced by the Trump family. Earlier this week, Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the former president, also testified before the court.
During his testimony, Donald Trump Jr. emphasized that the case was not solely about his father, but rather about the judicial system and its bias. He suggested that the trial had larger implications for businesses in New York, warning that relying on experts and accountants could potentially lead to accusations of fraud. He argued that signing off on the work of professionals should not make individuals liable.
The trial has faced its fair share of legal battles. President Trump attempted to halt the trial, requesting an immediate end, but was denied by Judge Arthur Engoron. The former president alleges that his former attorney, Michael Cohen, committed perjury by alleging that Trump asked him to inflate his assets. However, Cohen later recanted that statement, changing his testimony to indicate that Trump did not request any asset inflation.
Donald Trump Jr. expressed his frustration with what he sees as an unequal justice system. He believes that the trial highlights the flaws in the present-day judicial system and its lack of equal treatment for all individuals. He described the situation as a sad state of affairs
