Virginia’s direct payment application for heating bill rebates ends in 20 days.
Don’t Miss Out on Assistance for Heating Bills!
Time is running out! In just 20 days, applications for Virginia’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will close. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
LIHEAP is here to help low-income families with their heating and cooling expenses. And with winter approaching, now is the perfect time to apply. Residents of Virginia have until November 14 to submit their applications and receive the much-needed assistance.
What Can LIHEAP Payments Cover?
LIHEAP payments can be used for a variety of expenses, including furnace restarts, late charges, delivery charges, installation fees, and connection or reconnection fees. Plus, they can also be applied to your heating costs.
Who is Eligible?
If you have heating or cooling bills and a gross monthly income that is less than 150% of the federal poverty level, you are eligible for LIHEAP. For example, a single-person household cannot make more than $1,822 per month, while a 20-person household cannot make more than $13,922 per month.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to get the help you need. You can submit your application online or through your local department of social services.
So mark your calendars and make sure to apply before it’s too late. LIHEAP benefits will be sent out in December, just in time to keep you warm during the chilly winter months.
