Elon Musk finds Trump a con man, Biden boring, new bio reveals.
Elon Musk’s Candid Views on Trump and Biden
In a captivating biography by Walter Isaacson, it is revealed that X owner Elon Musk has not held back in expressing his opinions about former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.
“Trump might be one of the best bullsh***ers ever,” Musk told Isaacson. “If you just think of Trump as a sort of con-man performance, then his behavior sort of makes sense.”
Musk’s initial impression of Trump was not favorable. After meeting with him in December 2016, he thought Trump seemed “kind of nuts,” although he believed there was a chance he could “turn out okay.” However, as time went on, Musk concluded that Trump’s presidency was no different from his candidacy and likened it to a circus.
“When he was vice president, I went to a lunch with him in San Francisco where he droned on for an hour and was boring as hell, like one of those dolls where you pull the string and it just says the same mindless phrases over and over,” Musk told Isaacson.
Interestingly, Musk’s criticism extends to President Biden as well. He has taken shots at the 80-year-old president on his social media platform, even comparing him to the Crypt Keeper.
Musk’s candid remarks about the two presidential frontrunners reflect the sentiments expressed by some Americans in recent polling. According to the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, a significant portion of voters described Trump as “corrupt,” “con artist,” or “dishonest,” while Biden was associated with words like “old,” “elderly,” and “confused.”
Despite the criticisms, both Trump and Biden maintain strong support among their respective bases for the upcoming 2024 election. Trump holds a substantial lead over his Republican challengers, with Biden enjoying a significant advantage over his Democratic competitors, according to the latest polls.
