Elon Musk discloses if ‘X’ will relocate from San Francisco.

Businesses and citizens might⁢ be fleeing San Francisco and California by the⁤ thousands, but the owner of “X” — formerly known‍ as “Twitter” — is keeping his ‍social media company in the ‍Golden⁤ Gate City.

Why? Fittingly enough, Musk took to⁢ “X” to‍ explain.

“Many have offered rich incentives for⁣ X (fka Twitter) to move ⁤its ⁣HQ out of⁤ San⁢ Francisco,” he tweeted. “Moreover, the city is⁤ in a doom spiral with one company after another left or leaving. Therefore, they expect X will move too. We will not.”

Perhaps he’s ‍trying‌ to put the prayer of the city’s namesake — St. Francis — into action. A portion of that prayer says, “Where ⁤there is doubt, faith; where there is⁢ despair,‌ hope;⁣ where there is darkness, light;⁤ where there is sadness, joy.”

Replete ⁤with lawlessness, homelessness, and drug abuse, there ⁣is plenty of ⁣doubt, despair, darkness, and sadness in ‍San Francisco to go around. It seems Musk is choosing ⁣to bring faith, hope, ‌light, and joy to the city.

“You only know who your real friends are when the chips are⁢ down,” he tweeted. “San Francisco, beautiful San Francisco, though others forsake you, we will always be your friend.”

Over‍ the⁢ weekend, Musk ⁣also put a gigantic glowing⁤ “X” on top ‌of the ⁣company’s office building:

Within hours of it going up, the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection wanted to see if⁣ it met⁤ code compliance regulations ⁣but was reportedly denied ⁢access to the rooftop ⁣by X employees on ⁤Friday and Saturday.

Another photo posted by Musk shows how bright the light truly is:

That has ⁤some‌ neighbors ‍complaining that it is a nuisance.

“Around 11 last night they had it at full ‌blast, strobing, and it lit this entire area up ⁣like it was daylight,” Christopher Beale,‍ a journalist‌ who lives ⁣nearby the sign, told KTVU. “Even⁤ with the shades down…, it was to ⁢the point where we‍ couldn’t even watch the movie we were trying to watch in the living room and we had to move⁤ to the other side of the apartment.”

Perhaps Musk simply wanted to tell the world that “X”⁤ is here to stay.

“Blaze Your Glory!!” he also tweeted:

Ultimately, ⁢ X is Elon Musk’s ⁢company, ⁤and ⁤he can ⁤do ⁢with it what he wants. Perhaps he’ll ‌do something the San Francisco city government has been unable⁢ to do: Reverse its decline.
