The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Elmo, the beloved Sesame Street character, was hacked on Sunday. The hacker posted several hateful and antisemitic messages, including offensive slurs and calls to violence against Jewish people.Additionally, the account shared posts criticizing former President Donald Trump, accusing him of being “Netanyahu’s puppet” linked to the Epstein files. There was also a bizarre image of Elmo in a spacesuit and tinfoil hat promoting cryptocurrency. Sesame Street officials confirmed the account was compromised and are working to regain control.The incident sparked reactions on social media, wiht many expressing shock and condemnation. The offensive posts have since been deleted.

The official X account of the Sesame Street character, Elmo, was allegedly hacked on Sunday.
Several hate-filled posts with slurs and antisemitic messages were posted by the X account of the beloved Sesame Street puppet. Other messages featured comments about President Donald Trump and the Epstein files while also calling the president “Netanyahu’s puppet.”
“ALL JEWS SHOULD DIE” and “DONALD TRUMP IS NETANYAHU’S PUPPET BECAUSE HE IS IN THE EPSTEIN FILES,” read sentences of the first post from Elmo’s social media account.
“RELEASE THE FILES @realDonaldTrump,” one post read.
“Kill all Jews,” read another post.
The account also posted an odd photo of the children’s character wearing what appeared to be a tinfoil hat and a spacesuit while on the moon, promoting cryptocurrency.
“Happy crypto all-time high day, everybody!” read the post.
A spokesperson for Sesame Street told Fox News Digital that Elmo’s account was “compromised” on Sunday.
“Elmo’s X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts,” the spokesperson said. “We are working to restore full control of the account.”
As news of the hacking of the Sesame Street character’s account spread, people took to social media to comment.
“I’m forever scarred … by @elmo,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) posted. “Words I never expected to utter.”
“So poor Elmo got hacked and said some objectively vile anti-Semitic things earlier today,” said Matt Rooney, talk show host and state director of America First Policy Institute New Jersey. “In other news, Elmo is now the frontrunner in the New York City mayor’s race.”
“Looking forward to Tucker’s upcoming interview with Elmo,” said Joel Berry, managing editor of the satirical The Babylon Bee.

“You all laugh, but Elmo would absolutely win the Democrat nomination for mayor in NYC, Minneapolis, and Portland,” said Dustin Grage, columnist for Townhall.com.
Fox News reported that the offensive and insulting posts were ultimately deleted from the account, and all exchanges and interactions were removed.
