ROSENBERG, Texas—In a shocking incident, a driver plowed through a wall of a bustling East Texas restaurant, causing injuries to 23 people.
Police in the Houston suburb of Rosenberg, Texas reported that a man crashed his SUV into a Denny’s restaurant just off the highway late Monday morning. The vehicle forcefully slammed into the restaurant’s south wall, leaving patrons with a range of injuries from minor cuts to “severe injuries” that fortunately don’t appear to be life-threatening, according to a police statement. The victims, aged between 12 and 60 years old, are now receiving medical attention.
The driver of the SUV miraculously escaped unharmed, as confirmed by the authorities. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined and has not been released to the public.
Video footage captured the aftermath, revealing a red vehicle completely inside the restaurant, with the surrounding wall and windows demolished.
