Democrats look ‘foolish’ for defending narco-terrorists: Joe Concha
Joe Concha, a columnist for the Washington Examiner, criticized Democrats for defending narco-terrorists and illegal immigrants, arguing that this stance makes them appear foolish. speaking on Fox News’s Hannity, Concha highlighted recent military strikes ordered by President Donald Trump against alleged drug traffickers as part of a broader campaign to combat narcotics entering the U.S. He disparaged Democrats’ portrayal of these drug boats as harmless fishermen vessels, likening it sarcastically to the fictional “S.S. Minnow” from Gilligan’s Island. Concha also referenced the case of Kilmar Ábrego García, an alleged MS-13 gang member and human trafficker who was defended by Democrats but deported under the Trump governance. Emphasizing the deadly impact of drugs like fentanyl and cocaine-causing more U.S. deaths annually than the Vietnam War-Concha praised Trump for restoring credibility to American foreign policy and making the country’s word meaningful again to other nations, contrasting this with previous administrations.
Democrats look ‘foolish’ for defending narco-terrorists and illegal immigrants: Joe Concha
Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said Democrats are defending narco-terrorists the same way that they are defending illegal immigrants in the United States from being deported.
“[Democrats] are defending all of these folks not realizing how foolish and how pathetic they look in doing so,” Concha said on Fox News’s Hannity.
President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth have come under scrutiny in recent weeks for ordering a second military strike on an alleged drug boat on Sept.2, as part of the administration’s campaign against alleged drug traffickers.
Concha said Democrats are attempting to characterize the alleged drug boats as the “S.S. Minnow,” a reference to the charter vessel the characters of Gilligan’s Island were traveling on when they were shipwrecked.
“It’s the modern-day S.S. Minnow,” Concha said. “I guess now, fishermen, that’s the new Maryland man, right? Kilmar Ábrego García, of course, I’m referring to the alleged MS-13 gangbanger who was a wife beater and human trafficker. They defended him in the same way they are trying to tell us that these boats down here are just the S.S. Minnow, just going out [to] catch a couple of fish, I guess.”
Ábrego García, a Salvadoran native who was residing in Maryland with his family, was deported in March to El Salvador’s Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo mega-prison. A federal judge on Thursday ordered his release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s custody.
Concha said Democrats continue to defend “narco-terrorists” despite the deadly effects drugs have in the U.S.
“Just to get serious for a moment, 56,000 U.S. servicemembers were killed during the Vietnam War, and our combat role there lasted about eight years; twice as many Americans are killed by fentanyl or cocaine that comes from places like Venezuela in just one year alone,” Concha said.
Concha praised Trump for making America’s word “mean something” again to foreign leaders.

“What we’re seeing here from the Trump administration and the president himself obviously is that when America says something, that it needs to mean something, it must mean something,” Concha said. “Because think about the past couple of presidents and how their word meant nothing.”
“Just asked the Venezuelans here, at this point, if they realize that now he does mean business, just like Iran learned that he meant business when he took out their nuclear facilities at Fordow,” Concha added.
