Democrats criticize Justice; Manchin’s challenger faces lawsuit over record disclosure.

The Senate Democrats’ Campaign Takes Aim‍ at Gov. ‍Jim Justice

The Senate Democrats’⁤ campaign ⁤arm is launching an engaging billboard attack ⁤against‌ Gov. Jim Justice‍ (R-WV) while an ongoing lawsuit seeks to ⁣obtain his schedule as governor. ⁤This bold move is sure to grab attention and spark curiosity.

The⁢ Democratic Senatorial ‌Campaign Committee ⁢(DSCC) has ⁤strategically placed billboards near Justice’s luxurious Greenbrier resort and the Kanawha‍ County‍ Courthouse in the ⁤beautiful Mountain State. ⁣These billboards are impossible to miss, ensuring maximum visibility.

What is Jim⁢ Justice Hiding?

Curious minds are directed to a dedicated website that sheds light ‌on⁢ Justice’s various scandals.‌ This captivating message will leave onlookers intrigued and eager to learn more.

These attention-grabbing billboards will remain posted for an entire month, ensuring a sustained impact on public perception.

Back in April, after Justice announced his bid‌ for⁢ Senate, the DSCC wasted no time and ‍filed a⁤ lawsuit against ⁤the West Virginia Republican. Their goal? To obtain Justice’s official schedule and calendar as governor, as ‌well as similar records from his staff. This legal action was taken⁢ under‍ the state’s Freedom of⁤ Information Act.

Despite the DSCC’s efforts, Justice has adamantly refused to hand over the requested documents. The ‍lawsuit, filed in May,⁣ is still ongoing as of August. The DSCC’s decision to take legal action was ⁤prompted by a 2019 ⁤analysis that revealed a concerning ⁤lack of meetings with Justice’s Cabinet and ⁢limited time spent at the Capitol.

“Jim Justice cannot ⁤continue to ⁤hide his ⁤work schedule — or lack thereof — from ‍West Virginians. We fully expect Justice’s schedule to face further scrutiny, both in the ‌upcoming ⁤primary and in a court⁢ of law,” emphasized DSCC spokeswoman Amanda Sherman Baity in a press release from Aug. 10.

Justice is currently ⁢vying for the Senate seat held⁤ by⁤ Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), who has yet to announce whether he will‌ run for reelection in 2024.⁢ Speculation ‍about a ⁣potential third-party presidential run by Manchin adds an extra ⁣layer of intrigue to the political landscape.

The Washington‌ Examiner has ‍reached out to Justice’s office for a comment, eagerly awaiting his‍ response to this bold campaign.
