Democrat Men Are Faking Masculinity And It’s Painful To Watch

The article discusses the Democratic Party’s efforts to attract male voters by promoting individuals who embody customary notions of masculinity, while still supporting policies generally viewed as unpopular among men. It highlights figures such as David Hogg, a vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee, who suggests that Democrats have lost young male support by making political interactions feel judgmental. Hogg advocates for a more casual approach to engage this demographic. The piece also features Jackson Katz, a “gender scholar,” discussing masculinity, but his recommendations are portrayed as disconnected from genuine male concerns.

Additionally, Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona is mentioned as trying to present himself as an approachable, working-class candidate, adopting a more male-amiable image. the article ultimately critiques these attempts, arguing that superficial changes in appearance and language do not address the deeper issues of the party’s policies, which are seen as anti-male and anti-American. The author concludes that these strategies are unlikely to resonate with male voters, no matter the display of masculinity.

Among the ways Democrats are trying to stop hemorrhaging men voters is apparently by elevating guys who exhibit some comically stereotypical sense of “masculinity,” but who otherwise champion all the effete Democrat policies that the party loves and real men hate. Who knows! Maybe it’ll work!

Three such strapping lads come to mind of late, first and foremost being David Hogg, the lithe twink who is currently a vice chairman of the Democrat National Committee. (Though, some party officials are challenging his election on the grounds that he’s not DEI eligible — he’s apparently not gay). In an interview last week on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, Hogg proposed that Democrats are losing the support of young men, who “would rather vote for somebody who, even if they don’t completely agree with, they don’t feel judged by, than somebody who they do agree with, that they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around constantly because they’re going to be judged or ostracized or excommunicated.” He said young people more generally “should be able to focus on what young people should be focused on, which is how to get laid and how to go and have fun.”

True, Democrats have long-since been the party of nags, their chief mascots being perpetually offended black women — the “heart” and “backbone” of the Democrat Party — and “transgenders” forcing ladies to shave their scrotums. But Hogg’s assertion that men and young voters would be far more susceptible to the Democrat platform if party leaders were a little less menstrual ignores the problem: The two go hand in hand. Democrat priorities — “equity” based on race and gender identity, energy restrictions (“climate change”), and accelerated immigration — are only sustainable by enforcing strict social conduct codes. The things Democrats want aren’t popular, so there is no natural appeal among the people who advocate for them; there is only admonishing and lecturing into compliance.

But Hogg said what he said in a really manly way! He said “get laid”! Yeah, maybe it’ll work.

Another sure stud was showcased on Gavin Newsom’s podcast last week, during which the California governor interviewed “gender scholar” Jackson Katz on how “Democrats win back men.” I don’t know about you, but the first person I’d consult if I wanted my party to “win back men” would be a “gender scholar” with an irrepressible lisp. During the eternally long conversation, Katz mansplained to listeners how real masculinity is instilled not through delayed gratification, self-discipline, and strength training, but through his training courses and educational seminars that he offers to corporations, athletic organizations, and even the U.S. military (though presumably that stream has dried up under the new administration). After going on at length about the endless shortcomings of men, Katz, who supported Kamala Harris, went on some more. “If women are smarter than men, if they work harder, if they’re more talented, then they deserve the job,” said the ladies’ man. “It’s like, you don’t deserve the job just because you’re a man.”

Katz further appealed to young men by suggesting that if they don’t care for what he or the anchors on MSNBC have to say, it’s their fault. “And by the way, anti-intellectualism is deep in American culture, especially among men,” he said. “The idea that if you’re somehow smart, you’re a wimp. Or you’re condescending because you’re educated … But the idea that being, somehow, intellectual, being, you know, somebody who reads, who engages with ideas, somehow makes you weak and soft as a man or less than a real man, this is the most self-defeating idiocy that I could ever imagine. And yet, it’s fed daily in the popular discourse, especially in, you know, right-wing talk radio.”

But Katz is a white guy! He knows sports and has a tell-it-like-it-is New Englander accent! Yeah, maybe it’ll work.

Lastly, and my personal favorite, is Democrat Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego, who is asserting himself as the party’s working-class whisperer, though not without great assistance from the dying news media, which are sure to consistently describe him in their copy as “a Latino and Marine veteran with working-class roots.” Gallego most recently held a town hall in critical swing-state Pennsylvania, where he delivered what the Washington Post called “tough talk.”

The tough talk: “Sometimes my decisions are not going to be aligned with the national party,” he said at the event, according to the outlet. “Sometimes those decisions are gonna piss off a lot of people, but I know how to win a race in Arizona.”

Whoa! And did you see he has a beard and was wearing boots and jeans like an average man does?! He also said piss!

Gallego lamented to the New York Times back in February that the Biden White House failed to heed his campaign advice on how to appeal to young men. “I had a lot of recommendations that weren’t listened to,” he said. “I wanted President Biden to go to the Copa America game and sit next to some Latino celebrity. I love boxing. I’m like: ‘Let’s go to some boxing matches, right? Let’s take some Democrats to boxing matches where a lot of Latinos are.’ We need to figure out how to get into that world.”

Men like Gallego, testosterone coursing through his veins, know that if only Biden had gone to some sporting events, it would have made all the difference in the world. Isn’t this what men want to see men do? Isn’t this what men care about?

But Gallego does “tough talk”! The New York Times interviewer called him a “bro”! Yeah, maybe it’ll work.

It’s not going to work. Growing a beard, using slang, and wearing boots don’t compensate for just how anti-male, anti-masculine, and ultimately anti-American Democrats are.
