Democrats Embrace Trans Madness Like Ahab Chasing The Whale
The article, written by Chris Bray for The Federalist, argues that Democrats are reviving a 2023 push to adopt a Transgender Bill of Rights,a measure Bray describes as highly controversial and originally dead in committee. It notes that Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Sen.Ed Markey are reintroducing the resolution, presenting trans rights as a core national issue, while Bray treats the effort as performative politics rather than a serious legislative agenda in a Republican‑controlled Congress. The piece outlines the proposed provisions—such as protecting a trans child’s identity in schools, access to inclusive curricula, participation in sports, and funding to prevent violence—arguing that some language coudl amount to compelled speech. It cites media clips and social media posts, including a YouTube clip of Jayapal and a TikTok post by Markey, to illustrate the public messaging surrounding the measure. Bray contends that the reintroduction is largely meaningless in the current political landscape, framing it as theater rather than policy, and closes with a brief bio of the author.
Democrats introduced a resolution in 2023 to declare the vital importance of developing a “Transgender Bill of Rights,” and reality quickly proved that it was about as popular as throat cancer or a family vacation in a sewer. The resolution was referred to committee, where it wandered in the desert until it ran out of water and died.
Not taking a hint, the lunatics just resurrected the ridiculous thing. Trans rights, trans rights, TRANS RIGHTS, Democrats helpfully explain to a country that’s just trying to avoid eye contact. Imagine being stuck on an elevator with them, pressing yourself into the corner while they lay out another important thought about the actual meaning of your genitals, which they’d be happy to help you remove.
Trans people, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., declared this week, “hurt absolutely no one.” She said this before the bodies had cooled down from the latest mass murder by a transgender shooter — what Canadian police called a “gunperson.”
You can dial up the time machine to go look at what was in the Transgender Bill of Rights the last time Democrats cued it up to be completely ignored. Some of the measures clearly express an intent to compel the speech of others: “Ensuring every child has the right to grow up in a supportive environment by having their authentic identity respected in the classroom, ensuring they can participate in school sports with their peers, and ensuring access to an inclusive curriculum.” So teachers, for example, would be forced to perform coerced submission in their use of language before a “trans kid,” and schools would be forced to adopt trans-affirming curriculum.
Other language just gestures, inevitably, toward more free money: “Promoting the safety of trans and nonbinary people by investing in community services to prevent violence against trans and nonbinary people.”
The leading sponsors of Dr. Frankenstein’s re-alived trans rights resolution are Jayapal and the relentlessly cringe Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., the king of “how do you do, fellow kids” politics.
The re-introduction of this resolution is meaningless, or somewhat less than meaningless, in a Republican-majority Congress. They’re not legislating — they’re performing.
“We intend to continue this fight until we win this fight,” Jayapal said.
So they intend to continue this fight until never.
