Rep. Dan Goldman Demands Immediate End to Republican Investigation into Biden Family
In a fiery interview on Monday night, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) passionately called for the immediate shutdown of the Republican Party’s investigation into the Biden family. Speaking with host Anderson Cooper on CNN, Goldman vehemently defended Hunter Biden and President Joe Biden.
“This investigation, Anderson, needs to end and it needs to end now because what we’re doing is badgering a private citizen, and there’s no legitimate legislative purpose at all,” Goldman asserted.
Goldman went on to highlight that former Hunter Biden business partner, Devon Archer, had informed lawmakers that he had no knowledge of a $5 million payment to either of the Bidens.
“This is the taxpayer-funded defense and political arm of Donald Trump,” Goldman, who played a role in Democrats’ impeachment efforts against former President Donald Trump, stated.
Expressing his disbelief, Goldman criticized the three-committee congressional investigation into a plea deal involving a private citizen. He emphasized that the plea deal was approved by a Trump-appointed U.S. attorney, whom President Biden retained to ensure the investigation’s independence. Goldman found it absurd that taxpayer funds were being utilized to investigate a plea deal, highlighting the disconnect between the Republican Party and the concerns of the American people.
Furthermore, Goldman argued that the American public is not concerned about allegations of corruption against the Biden family.
