Phillips commends the promising results of previous UBI initiatives, such as the one in Harris County, Texas, where residents receive $500 per month for up to 18 months.

“I believe it is worth exploring,” Phillips explained. “However, money alone is not the sole solution. We must also strengthen the overall support system while ensuring individuals have some financial stability.”
