Top Democrat Election Denier Criticized for Gleeful Response to Trump Indictment
Top Democrat election denier Hillary Clinton takes heat over reaction to Trump indictment
The former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, faced backlash after she appeared to be gleeful about the recent indictment against her 2016 rival, former President Donald Trump.
During an interview with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, Clinton discussed the indictment in Fulton County, Georgia, which accused Trump and several of his allies of being “co-conspirators” in an attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

Maddow had initially planned to discuss an article Clinton wrote for The Atlantic, but the conversation quickly turned to the indictments in Georgia, leading to laughter between the two.
“It’s always good to talk to you,” Clinton said to Maddow. “But honestly, I didn’t think it would be under these circumstances. Yet another set of indictments…”
Maddow later expressed her concern about the impact of false claims that every election is stolen, stating that it damages democracy. However, she failed to acknowledge that Clinton herself had made similar claims about the 2016 and 2004 elections.

David Harsanyi pointed out the irony of Maddow and Clinton scolding others for spreading conspiracy theories about stolen elections when they themselves had promoted the Trump-Russian collusion hoax after the 2016 election.
Seth Dillon added, “Kind of awkward to tell Hillary to her face that she’s a bad actor who wounded our democracy.”
Megyn Kelly, host of the Sirius XM podcast, called the exchange between Clinton and Maddow “a disgusting display by both women.”
David Asman, anchor of Fox Business, questioned the need for an explanation of the irony, hypocrisy, and projection in the situation.

The @OccupyDemocrats account on X praised Clinton’s reaction as “classy” and focused on her calling the indictment a “sad” reflection of society, while criticizing Trump for not having a similar response.
