GERVAIS, Ore.
Heartbreaking news struck Gervais, Oregon, on Wednesday as a devastating accident unfolded. According to law enforcement officials, a Union Pacific freight train collided with a car, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving one person injured.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. when a 2002 Honda, traveling west on a farm access road, found itself in the path of the oncoming train. Despite the vehicle’s attempt to cross, tragedy struck as the train crashed into the car, south of Gervais.
