Cracker Barrel is returning to its old logo, which featured an old man leaning on a barrel, after its simplified logo was met with backlash from the public and President Donald Trump.

The company announced the move in a statement Tuesday.

“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,” the statement says.

“We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been — and always will be — about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon,” the restaurant added.

The company changed its logo last week to a simple yellow Cracker Barrel image, axing the old man and the barrel. The new design under CEO Julie Felss Masino was part of a rebranding campaign.

Trump called for the company to go back to its old logo and take a “Billion Dollars worth of free publicity” out of the public outrage over the change.

“Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before,” Trump wrote in a social media post Tuesday. “They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity. Have a major News Conference today. Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again.”

The company’s stock closed up 6% on Tuesday after Trump’s statement.

Before its announcement that it would go back to the old logo, the company admitted that it was grateful for the feedback and could’ve done a better job.

“If the last few days have shown us anything, it’s how deeply people care about Cracker Barrel. We’re truly grateful for your heartfelt voices,” the company said. “You’ve also shown us that we could’ve done a better job sharing who we are and who we’ll always be.”
