A Washington Examiner piece features Joe Concha discussing Operation Epic Fury and its perceived success under the Trump administration on Fox News’ Hannity, arguing that American media coverage of the Iran war has misled the public. Concha says comparing the Iran war to the Iraq War is “31 flavors of delusion,” and he cites a politico headline to reinforce the point. He asserts that the Iranian leadership has been effectively diminished and that the world should be grateful, while contrasting casualty figures-13 U.S. deaths in the Iran conflict versus more than 4,400 in the Iraq War-to argue the two wars are not comparable. The article also notes Russia reportedly sending drones to Iran to bolster its war effort and references claims from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps about children as young as 12 being eligible to join the war. Throughout, the piece includes recommended stories and a paywalled video, illustrating the broader media and geopolitical framing surrounding the Iran conflict.
Comparing the Iran war to the Iraq War is ‘31 flavors of delusion’: Joe Concha
Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha dove into Operation Epic Fury and its success under the Trump administration on Fox News’s Hannity.
Concha said Americans have been misled by media coverage of the war in Iran.
“The Iranian leadership has been obliterated. Not just the varsity, but the JV,” he said on Thursday. “The world should be thankful, but that does not seem to be the case here.”
Host Sean Hannity cited a Politico headline comparing the war in Iran to the Iraq War.
“This comparison between the Iran war and the Iraq War more than two decades ago — it’s 31 flavors of delusion,” Concha said.

Hannity also cited a report circulating online that shows the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said children as young as 12 can join the war effort.
“The Iraq War — we had more than 4,400 U.S. military deaths. The Iran war — 13 U.S. military deaths,” Concha said. He added that comparing the two conflicts is “like a knife fight in a phone booth. It’s over quite quickly.”
