The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has launched a tip line for information on the disappearance of Suzanne Morphew.
49-year old Suzanne Morphew was first reported missing on Mother’s Day in 2020 after she left home to go on a bike ride and never returned.
Authorities confirmed her remains were found during a search in Saguache County in late September, over three years since the 49-year old mother’s disappearance.
Following their discovery, authorities conducted a “comprehensive search” throughout the area, but disclosed there’s no new information in the case.
The area is reportedly known to locals as the “Boneyard.” Authorities came upon Morphew’s remains while they were searching for two other missing people.
Morphew left behind two daughters and her husband, Barry Morphew, who was arrested and charged with her disappearance and presumed death.
Barry said he was working in Broomfield, Colorado during his wife’s disappearance. Unsealed text messages revealed the two were both having an affair and Suzanne had broken it off with Barry a few days before she vanished.
Barry was charged with Suzanne’s murder in 2021, along with tampering with physical evidence and attempting to influence a public servant.
A judge dismissed Morphew’s charges without prejudice a year later after the defense received an internal affairs document about the CBI’s agent in charge. In it, he had said Morphew’s arrest was “premature.”
Morphew’s legal team later filed a $15 million lawsuit alleging that prosecutors and investigators violated his constitutional rights.
Barry and Suzanes’ two daughters remained adamant that their father is innocent.
During a 2022 interview with ABC News, Mallory Morphew said their father’s arrest was an emotional rollercoaster.
“We just know our dad better than anyone else,” Mallory said. “We just know he wasn’t involved in our mom’s disappearance.”
No further arrests have been made in the case and authorities hope they’ll be able to gather more information on Suzanne’s disappearance through the tip line.

Title: Colorado Bureau of Investigation Launches Tip Line for Suzanne Morphew’s Disappearance
Introduction
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recently launched a tip line to gather information related to the disappearance of Suzanne Morphew. This move comes after authorities discovered her remains during a search in Saguache County, over three years after her initial disappearance. Morphew’s husband, Barry Morphew, was previously charged with her presumed murder, but the case was dismissed without prejudice. As the investigation continues, the CBI is urging the public to come forward with any relevant information.
Investigation and Discovery
Suzanne Morphew, a 49-year-old mother, was reported missing on Mother’s Day in 2020 after she failed to return from a bike ride. Following an extensive search, authorities discovered her remains during an investigation in Saguache County in late September 2023. The area where her remains were found, known locally as the “Boneyard,” was being searched for two other missing individuals.
Comprehensive Search and Lack of New Information
In response to the discovery, the authorities conducted a comprehensive search in the area. However, they have disclosed that there is currently no new information in the case. This update signifies the ongoing challenges faced by investigators as they strive to unravel the circumstances surrounding Suzanne’s disappearance and presumed murder.
Barry Morphew’s Arrest and Charges
Throughout the investigation, Suzanne’s husband, Barry Morphew, was arrested and charged in 2021 with her murder, as well as tampering with physical evidence and attempting to influence a public servant. Unsealed text messages revealed that both Barry and Suzanne were involved in extramarital affairs, and Suzanne had recently ended her relationship with Barry prior to her disappearance.
