House Secures Dates For Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Epstein Testimonies After Couple Dodged Subpoenas

The House Oversight committee has set dates for former President Bill clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to testify in the Jeffrey Epstein probe after they previously dodged subpoenas and faced a potential contempt vote. Bill Clinton is scheduled for deposition on February 27, and Hillary Clinton on February 26, with a noon deadline to agree to transcribed and taped depositions and no time limits. If they refused to comply, the committee would move forward with contempt proceedings, according to Chairman James comer, who said the Clintons “caved” and will appear. The decision signals a dramatic shift from January, when the Clintons argued the inquiry was invalid and politically motivated in a joint letter to Comer. The subpoenas were issued in August, and their eventual participation comes amid broader pressure on figures who refused to testify and ongoing discussions about whether Democrats would vote to back contempt recommendations.
