House Secures Dates For Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Epstein Testimonies After Couple Dodged Subpoenas

the house Oversight Committee has scheduled depositions for Bill Clinton on February 27 and Hillary Clinton on February 26 in the Jeffrey Epstein probe after the couple had previously dodged subpoenas and faced a looming contempt vote. The committee gave both a noon deadline to participate in transcribed and taped depositions with no time limits; noncompliance could lead to contempt of Congress. Chairman James Comer said the Clintons “caved” and will appear, marking a reversal from January when they argued the inquiry was invalid and politically motivated. The Clintons had argued in a January letter that the investigation was partisan, referencing concerns about government overreach and issues such as immigration and the January 6 Capitol riot. The move comes as the House previously pursued contempt actions against others who refused to testify, and Politico reported it was likely that some Democrats would vote to hold the Clintons in contempt.
