Christian leaders’ take on Gen Z stampeding back to church

The article from the *Washington Examiner* discusses a noticeable trend of Generation Z returning to church. Leaders and attendees at the Road to Majority Conference were interviewed about this phenomenon. John DeBerry Jr., a senior advisor to the governor of Tennessee, suggests that Gen Z is reflecting on their personal lives, the state of the country, and their future, leading them to take action for their well-being. An attendee, Merri, mentioned that people are seeking meaning beyond the status quo, while Rep. Barry Loudermilk emphasized that this generation is in search of deeper truths. Christian leaders’ take on Gen Z stampeding back to church

It seems as though Generation Z is stampeding back to church. The Washington Examiner spoke to leaders and attendees at the Road to Majority Conference about the reason for the trend.

“I think that what they have done is they’ve taken a look at themselves, at the country, and at their future,” John DeBerry Jr., senior adviser to the governor of Tennessee, said. “They’ve decided to act in the best interests of their future.”

“This is actually something I’ve looked into a lot,” an attendee named Merri said. “I think people are tired of the status quo and they’re looking for meaning.”

WHY GEN Z IS FLOCKING TO STRONG RELIGION

“They’re looking for truth and what truth makes the most sense to them,” Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said. “And there is only one truth.”

The Faith and Freedom Coalition puts on the Road to Majority Conference. On Friday and Saturday morning, speakers include Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) and border czar Tom Homan. The conference seeks to empower conservative activists to fight for their faith in the public square.
