Chris Christie: If Trump Skips Debates, I’ll Trail Him Nationwide.
Former New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie has issued a warning to former President Donald Trump. In a recent interview with Howard Kurtz on Fox News’s “Media Buzz,” Christie expressed his intention to follow Trump around the country if he continues to skip the GOP primary debates.
When asked about Trump’s decision to stay off the debate stage, Christie responded, “Well, if he doesn’t do any of the debates, Howie, you know, we’re gonna give him another chance. I’m sure he’s not coming to the Reagan debate. We’ll give him another chance in Alabama. But if he doesn’t come there, then I’m going to follow him around the country. Wherever he goes, I’ll go. And we’ll wind up talking to each other one way or the other. And he knows that’s true.”
Christie’s determination to confront Trump directly has caught attention. When Kurtz asked if he would change his travel schedule to go where Trump goes, Christie confidently replied, “You bet.”

The 77-year-old former president recently announced his decision to skip Republican Party primary debates. However, it remains unclear if he intends to skip all future debates or just the first two. Trump justified his choice by referring to a CBS News poll that showed his lead over other candidates in national polling, stating emphatically, “I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel expressed her hope that Trump would reconsider, emphasizing the importance of hearing from all the candidates. She stated, “It’s so important that the American people hear from all the candidates.”
