Chris Christie slams Joe Biden on inflation: ‘2020s’ Jimmy Carter’
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie Slams President Biden for High Inflation Rates
“He is the Jimmy Carter of the 2020s.”
In a fiery interview on CNN, host Kasie Hunt asked Chris Christie if President Biden deserved any credit for the slowly declining inflation rates. Christie wasted no time in expressing his strong criticism.
“Kasie, what he deserves credit for is the fact that everything is 17 percent more expensive today than it was when he took the oath of office on January 20, 2021,”
Christie emphasized the impact of high interest rates, which have reached their highest level in 25 years. This surge in rates has made it increasingly difficult for individuals to afford homes, cars, and invest in their businesses, hindering job creation.
“This guy is the Jimmy Carter of the 2020s.”
Christie didn’t stop there. He highlighted the inflation crisis and cited Democratic economist Larry Summers, who blamed President Biden’s excessive spending for the current inflationary pressures.
“And his inflation that he created — and don’t take my word for it,”
“Democratic economist, former Treasury Secretary to Bill Clinton Larry Summers has said that Joe Biden created this inflation through his ridiculous spending.”
Christie firmly stated that both Republican and American voters deserve two things: the truth and a leader who can address their concerns on critical issues such as the border, Obamacare, national debt, and entitlement programs.
“The truth is not negotiable.”
“And I’m not going to say something different on your program than I will anywhere else in this country. And, second, they need someone who can deliver on the issues they care about on the border, on Obamacare, on the national debt, on entitlement programs,”
“Donald Trump failed on all those when he was president, even with a Republican Congress. Elect me president, and I won’t.”
