Child Abusers Top ICE’s List Of ‘Worst Of The Worst’ Illegal Aliens

The Federalist piece by Matt Kittle reports on a recent ICE operation that, the article says, removed several criminal illegal immigrants from communities – including individuals convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child, second‑degree sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual assault of a minor, and unlawful electronic sexual communication. It names four arrested men and their convictions: Leonel Antonio Carranza Nunez (continuous sexual abuse, Santa Ana, CA), Wilman Rodas‑Argueta (second‑degree sexual exploitation of a minor, Robeson County, NC), lazaro Sebastian Chiroy‑Ticum (sexual assault of a minor, Williamson County, TX), and Nerlin Jhonatan Perez‑Amaya (unlawful electronic sexual communication, Grand Junction, CO).

The article frames the arrests against protests in Minneapolis and criticism from left‑leaning media, and quotes DHS Assistant Secretary tricia McLaughlin calling the arrestees “monsters” and saying ICE will “hunt you down, arrest you, and remove you” if you enter illegally and commit crimes. It cites DHS statistics reported to Congress that roughly 435,000 noncustodial illegal aliens have criminal convictions (about 29,000 convicted of murder and/or sexual assault) and describes recent DHS updates to its “Worst of the Worst” (WOW) list that added about 10,000 names in December 2025 and January 2026.

The article also notes a record ICE detainee population reported by media (about 73,000, an 84% increase from the prior year), attributes the rise to the Trump governance’s enforcement priorities, and highlights DHS claims that a large share of those arrested have criminal records or pending charges. It mentions new funding (referred to in the article as the “One Big Gorgeous bill”) to expand detention capacity. The piece is opinionated in tone and emphasizes enforcement and public‑safety arguments for the arrests.

As the Minneapolis mob and their fellow privileged leftists protest and hold signs declaring, “Renee Good, ICE Bad,” Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents continue to do the hard, thankless work of removing “the worst of the worst” criminal illegal immigrants from crime-battered communities across the country.

On Thursday, the roundup included perps convicted of sexual abuse of children, sexual exploitation of a minor, and aggravated assault, according to the latest Department of Homeland Security report exclusively provided to The Federalist.

“Yesterday, our law enforcement arrested monsters who sexually abused and raped children. These are the type of sickos we are getting OUT of our neighborhoods,” said  DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin in a statement to The Federalist.

Sex offenders brought into custody include the following:

Leonel Antonio Carranza Nunez, a Mexican foreign national found guilty of “continuous sexual abuse” of a child in Santa Ana, California.

Wilman Rodas-Argueta, an alleged criminal illegal alien from Honduras who was convicted of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in Robeson County, North Carolina, according to DHS.

Lazaro Sebastian Chiroy-Ticum of Guatemala, who, according to DHS, was found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor in Williamson County, Texas.

Nerlin Jhonatan Perez-Amaya, an alleged Honduran illegal immigrant, convicted of unlawful electronic sexual communication in Grand Junction, Colorado.

‘We Will Hunt You Down’

In September 2024, Department of Homeland Security officials reported to Congress that they had tracked some 435,000 illegal aliens with criminal convictions not in custody. About 29,000 of those criminal illegal immigrants had been convicted of murder and/or sexual assault.

In December 2025 and January 2026, DHS updated its “Worst of the Worst” (WOW) website, adding another 10,000 criminal illegal aliens — “a mere fraction of the total” suspects — that immigration law enforcement officials arrested in the previous year.

Corporate media outlets on Friday decried the record 73,000 illegal immigrants in custody. CBS News reported the number is the “highest level recorded by the agency and an 84% increase from the same time in 2025, when its detention population hovered below 40,000, the internal statistics show.”

The increase has everything to do with a Trump administration committed to mopping up the flood of illegal immigrants that flowed into the United States during Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House.

Internal DHS data, according to CBS, shows about half of the detainees awaiting deportation have been charged or convicted of other crimes beyond breaking the nation’s immigration laws.

But McLaughlin told the broadcast network content provider that 70 percent of illegal immigrants arrested by ICE during President Trump’s first year in office have criminal records or are facing charges, including those with connections to terrorism.

Accomplice media outlets have lamented that a growing number of illegal immigrants picked up by ICE have “no criminal records.” But they do. That record began with their illegal entry into the United States.

McLaughlin said there’s much more work to do.

“Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, ICE now has historic funding to secure enough detention capacity to maintain an average daily population of 100,000 illegal aliens and 80,000 new ICE beds,” she told CBS News.

As to the long list of violent offenders, the DHS official told The Federalist that the agency is not going to allow criminal illegal aliens “to prey on children and victimize innocent Americans.”

“If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and remove you from our country,” McLaughlin said.
