Chicago Woman Arrested for Threatening to Shoot Former President Donald Trump and His Son
CHICAGO—Federal agents have apprehended a Chicago-area woman on charges of sending threatening emails to former President Donald Trump and his son Barron. Tracy Marie Fiorenza, 41, was arrested Monday morning for transmitting threats to kill or injure, according to federal prosecutors and a criminal complaint.
In a disturbing email sent on May 21 to the head of an educational institution in Palm Beach, Florida, Ms. Fiorenza boldly stated, “I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!” The affidavit accompanying the complaint provides further details.
“President Trump’s primary residence is in Palm Beach.”
This is not the first time Ms. Fiorenza has expressed such violent intentions. On June 5, she allegedly sent another email, threatening to “slam a bullet” into Barron “with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!” A U.S. Secret Service agent submitted this information in an affidavit.
The charging documents do not disclose the identity of the headmaster or the school where the emails were sent. It remains unclear whether Ms. Fiorenza has legal representation at this time.
According to CBS News Chicago, Ms. Fiorenza appeared in U.S. District Court in Chicago on Monday afternoon. The judge ruled that she must answer the charges in the district court in Florida and will determine the transfer process during a hearing on Wednesday.
During an interview at the agency’s Chicago field office on June 14, agents presented Ms. Fiorenza with copies of the threatening emails. The affidavit reveals that she resides in Plainfield, Illinois, a suburb southwest of Chicago.
