Cheryl Hines admits she hides her snacking habits from husband RFK Jr.
Actress Cheryl Hines shared a candid and humorous confession about life with her husband, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., revealing that she occasionally hides her junk food habits from him.
During an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Hines laughed about navigating a household where healthy eating is practically a political platform, as Kennedy leads the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.
When Watters asked whether she was “as MAHA” as her husband, Hines replied with a grin, “I’m gonna say, ‘Yes.’ Although you know, I might eat things that he might not.”
Pressed on whether Kennedy ever scolds her for indulging in less-than-healthy snacks, Hines admitted, “You know, I don’t get in trouble, but I hide when I eat it, because I don’t feel good about myself. So if I want potato chips, I’ll, you know, stand in the pantry while nobody’s looking.”

Watters joked back, pretending to be Kennedy: “I heard a crunch. Cheryl, where are you?”
The Emmy-nominated Curb Your Enthusiasm actress laughed before turning serious, praising her husband’s efforts to reform America’s food and health systems.
“It’s so amazing to have Bobby [her nickname for Kennedy] leading this MAHA movement,” she said. “You’re watching some of the things that he’s accomplished, like getting rid of petroleum-based dyes in food, getting rid of ingredients in our food that other countries don’t allow, looking at baby formula and getting rid of the arsenic and the lead that’s in it … I’m really proud that Bobby’s the person leading the charge.”
Watters agreed, responding, “Well, you should be, because it’s a very important charge.”
Hines described the couple’s transition from Hollywood life to public service as “an unexpected adventure,” but one rooted in shared values around health, family, and perseverance. Kennedy, a longtime environmental attorney and former Democratic candidate, joined President Donald Trump’s Cabinet in 2025 as HHS secretary, cementing his break from the party of his famous family.
Cheryl Hines says she’s incredibly proud of her husband, RFK Jr, for leading the MAHA movement.

“Suddenly, Bobby is in the middle of a Republican administration,” Hines said. “We don’t agree on everything, but we have great conversations. I’m proud of how he’s stayed focused on health and wellness issues that impact everyone.”
