Charlize Theron: No More Body Changes for Films

Actress Charlize Theron has made ‍a bold decision regarding her movie roles. She no longer wants to alter her body for the sake of portraying heavier characters. ⁣Theron, who is now 48⁤ years old, revealed in an interview with Allure magazine that losing weight for movies like “Tully” has become⁣ increasingly difficult as ‌her metabolism has slowed down with age.

Theron expressed her frustration, saying, “I ⁣will never,‌ ever do a movie again and⁣ say, ‘Yeah, I’ll gain ⁤40 pounds.’ I will never do‌ it ⁤again because you can’t take it off.”

She shared her experience of losing weight for the movie “Monster” ⁤when she was 27, saying, “I ‌lost 30 pounds, like, overnight. I missed three meals and I was back to‍ my normal weight.” However, when she did it again at the age of 43 for “Tully,” she struggled to shed ‍the extra pounds.‍ She ⁢even reached a‍ point where she thought she was dying because she couldn’t lose the weight.

Theron also shared her⁤ conversation with her doctor, who reminded her that her metabolism is not the same as it was when she‌ was younger. She expressed her disappointment, saying, “The thing that really bums me out is that I make action movies now and if I hurt myself, I take way longer to heal than I did in ⁢my 20s.⁣ More than my face, I wish I had my 25-year-old body ‍that I can just throw against the wall and not even hurt tomorrow.”

She ⁤added, “Now, if I don’t work out for⁤ three days and I⁢ go back ⁣to the gym, I ⁣can’t walk. ⁤I can’t sit down on the toilet. It’s all those very real moments.”

In the same interview, Theron ⁤addressed rumors of “bad plastic surgery” and embraced the natural process of ⁣aging. She stated, “My⁢ face is changing, and I love that my face is‍ changing and aging. But people think I had ⁢a facelift. They’re ‌like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ I’m like, ‘B****, I’m⁤ just aging! It doesn’t‍ mean I got ‌bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens.'”
