Caitlyn Jenner criticizes Biden for transgender visibility stance
Caitlyn Jenner criticized President Biden’s declaration of March 31 as Transgender Day of Visibility coinciding with Easter. She argued that the statement issued by the White House encouraging the recognition of transgender lives was inappropriate. Jenner also accused the Democratic Party of manipulating the media and disrespecting religious sentiments, particularly criticizing Biden’s actions as contradictory to his Catholic beliefs.
Caitlyn Jenner joined the growing number of critics against President Joe Biden‘s declaration of March 31 as Transgender Day of Visibility, which this year coincided with Easter.
The White House issued its statement on Transgender Day of Visibility Friday, encouraging people to lift up the lives of transgender people across the United States, a statement Jenner argued should have never been issued. Jenner, who is transgender, argued that there was nothing wrong with Transgender Day of Visibility, but believed that the Democratic Party is always seeking to “manipulate” the media.
“I mean, here Joe Biden is supposed to be a devout Christian, a devout Catholic, and to be honest with you, what he did is really flip the middle finger at all people of religion,” Jenner said on Fox News’s America Reports. “Even the D.C. archbishop on — this weekend, on Face the Nation called him ‘a cafeteria Catholic,’ meaning he uses religion when it’s convenient for him, and that’s exactly what he did.”
Jenner added that the recent statement from Biden marked another example of the Democratic Party seeking to destroy both the family structure and religion, referencing a recent report that the White House was prohibiting religious imagery for its Easter egg hunt. American Egg Board CEO Emily Metz has since responded to this report, arguing that this guideline has been “applied to the board since its founding, across administrations.”
Jenner also claimed that the Biden administration aims to replace religion with the government, adding that it is “a shame that the trans community is being used like this.”

Biden’s recognition of Transgender Day of Visibility sparked major criticism from Republican lawmakers, among them House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Johnson argued that Biden and the White House “betrayed the central tenet of Easter,” being the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter — which is the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Banning sacred truth and tradition—while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day”—is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note. pic.twitter.com/ZCExyVkAVS

The president has rebutted Johnson’s accusation, calling him “thoroughly uninformed.”
