Brian Stelter dismisses Trump interview as ‘irrelevant’ despite massive 200 million+ views.

Former CNN Anchor Brian Stelter Dismisses‍ Trump’s Interview with Tucker‍ Carlson as a Flop

Former CNN anchor and liberal media personality Brian Stelter‍ recently shared his thoughts on former President Donald Trump’s interview with Tucker Carlson, which garnered over 200 million views on X. Stelter, however, argued that the interview was a ‌total flop.

“I think this was a total‍ flop,” Stelter expressed on MSNBC ⁤following the interview and the first Republican debate. “I think that’s what’s most ⁣interesting,⁢ not ‍the contents⁢ of ⁤the interview, which ‍were the usual recycled conspiracy theories⁢ and lies.”

Trump’s Attempt to Steal the Spotlight

Stelter believes that ⁤Trump’s ⁤intention behind the interview was⁢ to counterprogram⁢ the debate ‌and divert attention away from his opponents. However, according to Stelter, this strategy did not work.

“Nothing changed Trump’s status ⁢as ⁣the‍ GOP front-runner last⁤ night,”‌ Stelter stated. “He is still clearly the front-runner, but, you know, both ‍of these⁣ men, Tucker and Trump, they both want to seem independent, free of the RNC,⁢ free of Fox, and that is appealing to their‌ base audience.”

Despite Trump’s efforts, by the end of the debate, Stelter claims that it was⁢ as if the interview “never happened.”

“It ‌was irrelevant, and now, this morning, Trump and Carlson fans‍ are trying to claim that the ⁤interview was⁤ widely viewed, it was more ‍popular than the debate, but that is bologna,” Stelter dismissed.

“Twitter view counts are widely⁣ overstated. So, the truth‍ was ‌this⁤ interview was an afterthought.”
