Bondi dismisses charges against doctor for falsifying vaccine records

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the Justice Department is dismissing charges against Dr. Kirk Moore, a Utah plastic surgeon accused of falsifying COVID-19 vaccine records. Moore had been prosecuted for allegedly issuing nearly 2,000 fraudulent vaccination cards, destroying government-provided vaccines, and administering saline shots to minors in place of vaccines. the charges, which included conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government and related offenses, were brought in 2023, and Moore was facing up to 35 years in prison. Bondi dismisses charges against doctor accused of falsifying vaccine records

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Saturday announced the Justice Department is dismissing charges against Dr. Kirk Moore, who was prosecuted by the Biden administration for falsifying vaccine records during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision effectively ends Moore’s trial, which occurred two years after a federal grand jury indicted him.

“Dr. Moore gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused to do so. He did not deserve the years in prison he was facing. It ends today,” Bondi posted on social media.

Federal prosecutors accused Moore, a Utah plastic surgeon, of issuing nearly 2,000 fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards to patients and destroying more than $28,000 worth of government-provided COVID-19 vaccines. He also provided saline shots to minors, at the request of their parents, to make the children think they were getting vaccinated.

The alleged actions took place between October 2021 and September 2022, according to prosecutors.

In 2023, Moore and three co-defendants were charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to convert, sell, convey, and dispose of government property; and the conversion, sale, conveyance, and disposal of government property and aiding and abetting.

The Justice Department’s dismissal of the charges comes as Moore started a 15-day trial earlier this week in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dozens of people, including State House Speaker Mike Schultz, gathered in support of the doctor and his co-defendants as they faced trial.

“I’m feeling optimistic and grateful for the support,” Kristin Andersen, one of the co-defendants, said Monday. “Everyone who is showing up on behalf of us and to help fight for our medical freedoms.”

Bondi thanked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) for advocating on behalf of Moore and bringing the case to her attention.

“Thank you AG Pam Bondi for dropping the WRONGFUL charges against Dr. Kirk Moore,” Greene posted on X, describing Moore as a “hero” and calling the newly dismissed charges “a big win.”

“Dr. Kirk Moore stood up in the face of enormous pressure to fight against government overreach,” Lee wrote in a similarly celebratory statement. “I raised this issue with Attorney General Bondi, and am grateful that she was willing to help Dr. Moore maintain his freedom.”

Moore was expected to face 35 years in federal prison.
