Biden’s border influx strengthens Democrats’ Electoral College edge

At noon on Jan. 20, 2021, President Biden took the oath of office. What do you think he did in his first 12 ⁣hours? He⁣ signed an executive order titled “Executive Order‌ on ⁣Ensuring a Lawful and Accurate Enumeration‍ and Apportionment Pursuant⁣ to ⁣the Decennial Census.” ‍That is‍ government speak for directing the Census Bureau to ‍count all illegal aliens when the census is taken.

Every⁤ 10 years, when the census is conducted, the population numbers are used to⁤ redraw congressional‍ district lines⁣ so that they generally have the⁢ same amount of people ‍in each district across the country. The more people counted, the more congressional seats a state receives. So if you are a state like California losing population, you lose seats in Congress. If‌ you gain population, like Texas, you gain congressional seats.‍ The number of ‌congressional seats also directly relates to the number of electors each state can send to ‍the ‍Electoral College.⁣ More population equals⁤ more congressional seats. More congressional seats ⁤equal⁣ more votes in the Electoral College.

To the Democrats, this ⁤is simple math — sovereignty and‌ public safety be damned. I’ve listened to many ⁤Texans ask in exasperation: When will enough be enough? When will there be enough illegal immigration, enough crime,‍ and enough handouts of “free” phones, plane tickets, hotels, and cash for noncitizens who enter this country illegally? Is it 7 million more ‍or maybe 20 million more?⁣ I believe the answer to that question is 270. That is the number of electoral ⁢votes required to win the presidency in the Electoral College.

The crisis at the border is not‍ an accident, nor is it‌ a confluence of outside factors resulting in⁢ unchecked illegal ⁢immigration. Instead, it is planned and facilitated by the⁢ Democrats in Washington, D.C., to bolster failing⁣ blue states, ‍increase their representation in Congress, and cement a permanent‍ majority in the Electoral College. Many reasonable Texans wonder why anyone would want a sanctuary city or sanctuary state. The logic becomes more obvious once you understand the end game: to ⁤create a⁢ welcoming enclave free‍ from consequences, flaunt the law, refuse to cooperate with law enforcement, ‍and swell a population dependent on the state. Then count everyone, citizen and noncitizen alike,‍ to‍ amass power.

Does this sound ‌crazy? Is the government capable of executing such a plan, or are they simply⁢ incompetent? Usually, the ⁣simplest answer is the right one, so incompetence ‍could be a reasonable answer. Still, there is no denying that Democrats are aware of⁣ the power of‍ counting illegal aliens in the census.

In July 2020, The Texas Tribune published an ⁣article titled: “Trump Pushes to Exclude Undocumented⁣ Immigrants when Congressional Seats Are Divvied‍ up Next Year.” The ⁢article said in part, “President ⁣Donald Trump opened a new front Tuesday in‍ his effort to keep undocumented immigrants from being counted when lawmakers redraw congressional districts next year, ⁢a ‌move that could cost Texas several seats in Congress if it succeeds.”

In 2021, during a ⁢congressional hearing,⁢ Rep.‌ Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., said, her district “can‌ absorb a significant number of these migrants.” Why did she encourage more illegal aliens to live ‍in her district? She stated plainly, “I need more⁤ people in my district just‍ for redistricting purposes.”

Our founders recognized that states ‍could be incentivized to increase their population numbers in the census.⁤ In Federalist No. 54, written 236 years ago, it was argued that “the accuracy of the census⁣ to be obtained by the Congress will necessarily depend, in a considerable degree on the disposition,⁢ if not on the co-operation, of the States, it is ⁣of great importance⁢ that the States should feel as little bias‌ as⁣ possible, to swell or to reduce the amount of ⁤their numbers.” They cautioned that the states could have “an interest in exaggerating their⁣ [number of] inhabitants.”

Equal representation under the law for our citizens is essential in our⁣ republican form of government. Illegal aliens should not be used, to the detriment of ⁣U.S. citizens, in a cynical plan to dilute the power of U.S. ‍citizens and extend certain⁣ states an⁤ exaggerated population, which ‌results in greater power over the legislative and executive branches of ⁢government.

The stakes are indeed high. Just remember this: President Biden does not want you to count the number ⁣of illegal aliens crossing our southern border, but ⁢he surely wants to count them during the census. His first 12 hours in office make that clear.

What was the purpose of President Biden’s ⁢executive‍ order on ensuring a‌ lawful and accurate enumeration and apportionment pursuant to the decennial census?

At noon on ⁣Jan. ⁢20, 2021, President Biden took the oath of⁤ office and began his tenure as the President of the United ‌States.‌ In his first 12 hours, President Biden signed an executive order⁣ titled “Executive Order on Ensuring a⁢ Lawful and Accurate⁣ Enumeration and Apportionment Pursuant to the Decennial Census.” This executive order ⁢directed the Census Bureau to ‍count all individuals, regardless of‌ their immigration status, during the census.

Every 10 years, the census is conducted to gather population numbers, which are then used to redraw congressional ⁢district lines across ‌the country. The objective is to ensure ⁤that each district has a similar number of people. The ‍number of people counted in each state directly impacts⁢ the ⁣number of congressional seats that⁣ state receives.‍ States with‌ growing⁤ populations, such as Texas, gain congressional seats, ‍while states with declining populations, like California,‍ may lose seats. The number of congressional seats also⁤ determines the number of electors each state can send to the Electoral College, which in turn impacts the number of votes a state has in the presidential election.

To some, including the writer of this article, counting individuals regardless of immigration status may be seen as ⁢detrimental to sovereignty and public safety. They argue‌ that‍ it opens the door to increased illegal immigration and its associated ⁢issues.‍ However, others believe ⁣that counting all individuals, regardless of their immigration status, is necessary for an accurate representation of the population and for fair apportionment of resources and political⁣ power.

The ⁢article suggests that‌ the crisis at the ⁣border‍ and unchecked illegal immigration are not accidental but ‍planned and facilitated by the ⁣Democrats to bolster failing blue states,⁢ increase their⁤ representation in Congress,‌ and⁤ secure a permanent ⁣majority in the Electoral⁢ College. It suggests that Democrats support sanctuary cities and states as part of a strategy to create a welcoming environment for noncitizens and to swell the population dependent on the state. Ultimately, the ⁢article argues that ‍counting everyone, citizen and noncitizen alike, amasses power for the Democrats.

It is important‌ to note that this article ⁤reflects a particular ⁤perspective and opinion. The issue ‍of counting illegal aliens in the census is a complex and debated topic with multiple viewpoints. The decision to count all individuals, regardless of immigration status, during ‌the census is part of a broader discussion on immigration policy and representation in the United States.
