Biden’s and Trump’s age concerns ‘night and day’: Joe Concha

The Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha highlighted the stark contrast in media coverage regarding the ages of President Joe biden and former President Donald Trump. Concha noted that while Trump, who will turn 80 in june next year, faces significant scrutiny about his age and cognitive fitness during his first year back in office, Biden did not encounter similar national concern until late June 2024, despite showing some cognitive lapses earlier. The Biden management previously dismissed age-related concerns as “cheapfakes,” and some reports even praised Biden’s private meeting performance. Concha argued that Trump’s productivity and stamina during his first 10 months are impressive, countering claims about his age-related decline. Trump criticized the New York Times for publishing what he called a “hit piece” on his age, affirming that he recently passed thorough physical and cognitive exams. Additionally, Trump promoted his record on lowering drug prices and expressed confidence in GOP success in upcoming midterm elections if their achievements are effectively communicated.

Biden’s and Trump’s age concerns ‘night and day’: Joe Concha

The Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha said the media’s coverage of President Donald Trump’s age differs drastically from the “Biden era,” saying the president’s first 10 months back in office is contrary to the age concerns some have.

Trump will be turning 80 on June 14 next year, the same age former President Joe Biden turned in his second year in office. The New York Times published a piece on Trump facing the “realities of aging” as he finishes his first year back in the Oval Office.

Biden didn’t face national scrutiny over his cognitive fitness for president until late June 2024, though some did express these concerns in the years leading up to Biden’s reelection bid. Concha recalled how the Biden administration dismissed these concerns as “cheapfakes” and how the New York Times had also written a piece in 2023 on Biden being “smart and commanding” in private meetings despite spending 40% of his presidency on vacation.

HEGSETH SLAMS BIDEN’S ‘KID GLOVES APPROACH’ TO NARCO-TERRORISM IN DEFENSE OF DRUG BOAT STRIKES

“Remember he used to shake hands with the air or he would have conversations with world leaders who were literally dead for years, or I don’t know, forgot the names of his Cabinet members? This is something, if they’re going to be consistent, be consistent, but I think they’re trying now to equate President Trump with Joe Biden where it is night and day,” Concha said on Fox News’s Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany.

“Marc Thiessen said it best: This was the most productive 10 months we’ve seen from any president in his first year, and you’re going to tell me he doesn’t have striking stamina or is working as hard as anybody in the country?” Concha said.

Trump attacked the New York Times over its coverage of his age, calling it a “hit piece.”

TRUMP STARTING TO SEE WINS IN TRANSGENDER COURT BATTLES

“There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (‘That was aced’) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now! GOD BLESS AMERICA & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” Trump said.

Trump also took to Truth Social to claim drug prices are dropping under his watch as the “AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT.” He also said the Republican Party can win the 2026 midterm elections “if this story is properly told.”
