Biden to Deliver Primetime Address on Midterms
President Joe Biden will deliver a prime-time address Thursday from Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, where he is expected to frame November’s midterm elections as “the continued battle for the soul of the nation,” according to the White House.
BIDEN TRIES TO BRAND HIMSELF AS DEFICIT CUTTER, NOT BIG SPENDER
During the speech, one of three presidential visits to the battleground state of Pennsylvania this week alone, Biden will outline how America’s “rights and freedoms are still under attack,” a White House official told the Washington Examiner.
“He will speak about how the core values of this nation — our standing in the world, our democracy — are at stake,” the official said. “He will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy.”
