Biden Snaps St. Patrick’s Day Pic with Kennedys, RFK Jr. Addresses Exclusion
The Family Portrait That Made Headlines: Biden and the Kennedys
It was a snapshot that captured a blend of politics and family ties, splashed with a hint of St. Patrick’s Day spirit, as President Joe Biden beamed alongside numerous Kennedy family members. However, the click of the camera also highlighted the conspicuous absence of one notable figure – Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential hopeful.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Weighs in on Missing the Family Photo Op
Tackling the topic head-on, Kennedy didn’t shy away during his interview with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo. His response? A candid acknowledgement that family dynamics are complex, and differences of opinion are just part of life.

Chris Cuomo prodded, reflecting on the image that even featured Kennedy’s sister Kerry, “What does it mean when the people who know you best say Joe Biden is better than their own brother, uncle, cousin?”
Rallying composure, Kennedy provided a perspective that defused any perceived drama, ”Although that looks like a big crowd of people, it is a very small percentage of my family. As you know from your family, we don’t always agree on things.”
The conversation turned a corner when Kennedy revealed a twist. Some of his kin were not just showing support – they were active participants in the Biden administration. He appeared unperturbed, reflecting a value of mutual respect over uniform agreement.
“President Biden is an old friend of my family. I understand that many of them disagree with me on the war in Ukraine, they disagree with me on COVID, on some of the public health issues, they disagree with me on the free speech issue…we can disagree with each other in a friendly way and still love each other,” Kennedy elaborated.

Wrapping up, Kennedy voiced his contentment that his relatives had the chance to visit the White House. Yet, he couldn’t help but depart with a quip smirking at the ongoing Secret Service protection saga.
“I do hope that at least a couple of them took the time to talk to President Biden and ask him to provide me Secret Service protection,” he said, highlighting the irony that his father’s tragic fate led to the now commonplace security measures for candidates like himself—protections he has ominously been denied.
The jousting for Secret Service coverage remains a sticking point, as the Biden administration has turned down Kennedy’s requests multiple times, fueling a narrative entwined with historical precedence and present-day political chess.
