Biden Criticized for ‘Highly Partisan’ State of the Union: ‘Continuous Angry Lies
President Joe Biden Faces Backlash for Partisan State of the Union Speech
President Joe Biden’s Thursday night State of the Union speech has sparked widespread criticism, with non-Democrats labeling it as the “most partisan” address ever delivered by a president.
Biden’s speech was filled with mockery and taunting aimed at Republicans, as he attempted to present a positive image of his first term in office.
The 81-year-old president, who is currently trailing former President Donald Trump in the polls, raised eyebrows with his loud and fast-paced delivery, deviating from his usual speaking style.
“If this is Joe Biden’s attempt to portray himself as a sane and rational leader with a moderate policy agenda, he’s clearly not succeeding,” remarked The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.
If this is Joe Biden making a case that he is a sane and rational person in charge of a moderate policy agenda, he’s…not doing it.

Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer commented, “Biden is just off. His tone, speed of delivery, and loud, punchy way of speaking are really weird. This speech is odd.”
Donald Trump Jr. added, “If you actually believe that the State of the Union is strong and getting stronger under Joe Biden, then you’re probably spending too much time smoking crack with Hunter Biden!”
The Border Patrol Union posted on X: “The most arrogant, self-absorbed, clueless, and angry loser ever. Never held a real job. Lifetime political hack. Joe Biden is the epitome of what so many Americans despise about politicians.”
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed his disappointment on his “Verdict” podcast, stating, “Out of the 12 State of the Union speeches I’ve watched, this was by far the worst I’ve ever seen.”

“So, this was a campaign speech. But it was an exceptionally bad campaign speech,” Cruz continued. “Biden was angry, bitter, screaming, extreme, and completely out of touch. The entire speech reminded me of a grumpy old man standing on his front porch screaming at the kids to get off my front lawn.”
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, a guest on Cruz’s podcast, described the speech as ”very odd,” noting that Biden “was yelling and slurring his words” and his cadence was off throughout the night.

Biden is essentially giving the same speech he gave 50 years ago and Woodrow Wilson gave over 100 years ago. Class warfare, soak the rich and businesses. Tax and spend and borrow. Hey, Joe. Everyone paid more taxes than Hunter. And you’ve been in government forever. I guess…

This is the most partisan State of the Union address I’ve ever seen. #StateOfTheUnion

Joe Biden just covered potato chips and Snickers in the #SOTU before he mentioned the crisis at the border.

Six Americans are being held hostage by Hamas right now. 34 were murdered on October 7. And it can’t even make the first hour of this speech. Stunning.

We had a secure border. Then President Biden ripped up our border policies that worked.
He doesn’t need Congress. He simply needs to reverse his reckless policies.

If you want confirmation that America lacks a serious policy on China and Iran, just go back and read the transcript from last night’s SOTU.

Last night, the State of the Union sounded more like the State of the Campaign. President Biden attacked his GOP opponent, labeled his opponents as threatening democracy, and even confronted the Supreme Court justices sitting in front of him that the voters will fix their wagons.

That was by far the most disastrous state of the union address I’ve ever witnessed — in my 52 years on this planet.

This is already easily the worst State of the Union speech we’ve ever heard in our lifetime. Angry, slurring, accusatory, hyper-partisan. A disaster for Biden.

This is a political speech — it’s divisive.
Joe Biden is not a leader.
People can’t buy groceries or pay their gas bills, but here he is dividing Americans against each other.
Where is the hope? Where are the solutions?

How did conservative commentators react to Biden’s failure to address certain pressing issues during his speech?
Er (@jonathanturler) March 8, 2024
The criticisms of Biden’s speech centered around its divisive tone and lack of substance. Many critics felt that the president’s focus on attacking Republicans and promoting his own agenda overshadowed the pressing issues facing the country.
Conservative commentators expressed disappointment in Biden’s failure to address the ongoing crisis at the southern border, the rising inflation rates, and the increasing crime rates in cities across the nation.
Others criticized the president’s emphasis on class warfare and wealth redistribution, characterizing it as a tired and ineffective approach to economic policy. They argued that Biden’s proposals, such as increasing taxes on the wealthy and expanding government programs, would only hinder economic growth and stifle innovation.
The lack of attention given to foreign policy issues also drew criticism. Commentators pointed out that Biden failed to mention the escalating tensions with China, the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran, and the global threat of terrorism.
Overall, the backlash against Biden’s State of the Union speech highlights the growing concerns about his leadership and the direction of his administration. Many Americans are looking for solutions to the pressing problems facing the country, and they believe that Biden’s partisan rhetoric and divisive approach are not conducive to achieving those solutions.
As President Biden continues with his term, it remains to be seen how he will address these criticisms and work towards building consensus and unity among Americans. However, based on the response to his State of the Union address, it is clear that many are skeptical of his ability to fulfill his promises and lead the country effectively.
