Biden’s Sneaky Succession Move Exposed by GOP
Joe Biden’s Dumpster-Fire Presidency Continues to Mock the Constitution
In yet another outrageous move, Joe Biden has been called out for inserting an unconfirmed official into the presidential line of succession. This blatant disregard for the Constitution highlights the incompetence of the current administration.
Republican Senator Katie Britt of Alabama issued a scathing statement, condemning Biden for elevating acting Labor Secretary Julie Su without Senate confirmation. Britt emphasized that Su lacks support from her own party and questioned the administration’s belief that she could potentially become President.
The senator reminded Biden that Cabinet members can only assume the presidency if they are confirmed by the Senate. She criticized the administration for ruling by decree instead of governing with the advice and consent of Congress.
Despite the Senate declining to confirm Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su these past 218 days (and counting), the White House now lists her in the presidential line of succession. I led 29 colleagues in demanding an explanation.

On the White House website, Su is listed as ninth in line to the presidency, outranking other Cabinet officials who have been confirmed by the Senate. This improper placement in the line of succession further highlights the administration’s disregard for constitutional processes.
Interestingly, Su is ranked above other Cabinet officials who have been confirmed by the Senate, such as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and CIA Director William Burns.
In a letter to the president, Senator Britt and her colleagues expressed grave concerns about the elevation of Su to the line of succession. They reminded Biden that Congress has the authority to set the line of succession and that he cannot unilaterally place individuals in that position.
The letter emphasized that Su has not been confirmed by the Senate and lacks support from both Republican and Democratic members. The senators urged Biden to withdraw Su’s nomination and nominate someone who can receive bipartisan support.
Julie Su has neither been elected by the American people nor confirmed to a Cabinet post by the people’s elected representatives. Yet, this Administration now suggests she can instantaneously be elevated to the Presidency of the United States. pic.twitter.com/vE7wuyviSa

The senators criticized Biden’s authoritarian move and stressed the importance of curbing his attempts to rule by executive fiat. They highlighted the need for nominees who can garner bipartisan support and emphasized that placing an unconfirmed official in the line of succession goes against the principles of our republic.
Sadly, this unconstitutional move is just one of many questionable actions taken by the Biden administration. It is crucial to hold the administration accountable and ensure that executive overreach is curbed.
