In a bold move aimed at addressing the concerns of far-left Democrats and Muslim voters in the U.S., President Joe Biden has ordered the deployment of the U.S. military to Gaza. The mission? To construct a pier that will facilitate the delivery of millions of meals to the Palestinian people on a daily basis.
This decision comes in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks carried out by Palestinian Islamic extremists with Hamas, resulting in the tragic loss of 1,200 lives within Israel. Shockingly, even children were involved in these attacks, highlighting the alarming support for terrorism against Jews among Palestinians.
According to Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder, the establishment of the temporary pier in Gaza will be an emergency mission that could take several months to complete. Up to 1,000 soldiers from the 7th Transportation Brigade Expeditionary will be involved in this crucial endeavor.
The Department of Defense has assigned the Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore (JLOTS) capability of the 7th Transportation Brigade Expeditionary to provide an expeditionary pier. This pier will enable the delivery of over 2 million meals per day to the citizens of Gaza, ensuring their access to vital humanitarian aid.
Maj. Gen. Ryder emphasized that the pier will be located offshore, allowing shipping vessels to transfer cargo to smaller vessels for transportation and offloading onto a temporary causeway. This efficient system will facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza without the need for U.S. forces to be physically present on the ground.
Regarding security and aid distribution, Ryder assured that thorough planning and coordination with regional partners are underway. The United States is also collaborating with ally and partner nations, the United Nations, and humanitarian non-governmental organizations to ensure the effective distribution of assistance into Gaza.
