A Viral Video: President Biden Uses Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Comments to Highlight Accomplishments
A video released by President Joe Biden has taken social media by storm, garnering over 30 million views in just 12 hours. The video, which features comments made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), serves as a platform to showcase the Biden administration’s achievements.
This video marks the second-highest number of impressions for any of President Biden’s videos since his inauguration, according to statistics shared with the Hill. It falls just behind his reelection campaign video, which was released in April. As of Wednesday morning, the video mocking Greene has already received over 200,000 shares and more than 2 million engagements.
Turning Negative into Positive
The video cleverly incorporates Greene’s critical remarks about the Biden administration, but with a twist. Biden’s team pairs her comments with uplifting music and includes photos and videos of the president and Vice President Kamala Harris, giving it the feel of a campaign video. The video concludes with the iconic Biden-Harris logo, leaving a lasting impression.
“I approve this message,” Biden proudly wrote when he shared the video on Twitter.
“Joe Biden had the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete,” Greene said in her speech this weekend. “Programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, labor unions, and he still is working on it.”
The White House seized the opportunity to highlight Greene’s comments, turning what was intended as an attack on Biden’s views into an endorsement of his agenda. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre emphasized Greene’s remarks on Bidenomics and Medicare, expressing agreement with her stance.
“I’m sure she’ll be very shocked that I’m saying this, but we agreed with Marjorie Taylor Greene, which is not something that we say very often,” Jean-Pierre stated. ”We are opposed to rural poverty, and the president is committed to protecting Medicare and Social Security, as he has repeatedly emphasized in the past several months.”
It’s clear that this video has struck a chord with viewers, resonating with millions and sparking conversations about the Biden administration’s accomplishments.
