Biden Calls Fox News’s Peter Doocy ‘Stupid Son of a Bitch’

As reporters were herded out of the White House press room on Monday, President Joe Biden was caught on hot mic calling Fox News’s Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch.”

When asked whether inflation is a “political liability” for the 2022 midterms, the president responded, “No, it’s a great asset—more inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch.”

Biden has become known for his quick temper, his public speaking gaffes, and his “epic tongue-lashings,” according to journalists Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, who interviewed his 2020 campaign staff for their book, Lucky: How Joe Biden Barely Won the Presidency. On the campaign trail, Biden told a college student in New Hampshire she was a “lying dog-faced pony soldier” and a factory worker in Detroit that he was “full of shit.” He mocked one gentleman during the Iowa caucuses, calling him “fat” when he questioned what business Biden’s son had serving on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.

Inflation reached a 40-year high in December. During a marathon press conference last week, Biden touted his Build Back Better plan as the best response to inflation but said his administration “need[ed] to get inflation under control.”
