A new poll released this week revealed that Ben Shapiro, the co-founder and editor emeritus of The Daily Wire and host of ”The Ben Shapiro Show,” the nation’s top conservative podcast, is the most trusted major conservative media personality.
The poll from WPA Intelligence surveyed 1,000 verified registered voters across the U.S. in mid-December and found that the most trusted major media personality was Left-of-center comedian Bill Maher, host of HBO’s “Real Time.”
Among respondents familiar with the personalities, 52% trusted Maher, 49% trusted Shapiro, 46% trusted Joe Rogan, 43% trusted Tucker Carlson, and 42% trusted Jake Tapper.
Rogan is the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the world’s most downloaded podcast. Carlson’s program, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” was the highest-rated show on Fox News.
The poll also revealed the total net trust level for each personality, accounting for Democrats, Republicans, and independents. Maher had a +3% net trust level, Shapiro had -1%, Rogan had -7%, Tapper had -8%, and Carlson had -11%.
“Ben Shapiro has successfully transformed online fame into real-world impact,” said WPA Intelligence Principal Amanda Iovino. “Our poll shows that he is more trusted by Americans as a reliable source of news compared to several mainstream media and cable news personalities, including among Independent voters.”

“Among online conservative personalities, there were significant gaps in both fame and trust levels between Shapiro and lesser-known influencers,” she added.
