Two children were hospitalized as a result of the incident.

“This is a sad day for our community,” expressed Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden in a statement, as reported by NBC. “We are praying for those who are injured, lost loved ones, and lost their homes. This community pulls together like no other, and we will be here until the end,” he added.
Ethan Goad, a resident of Rutherford, described the chaos that unfolded as the tornado struck, stating that his town’s fire station was completely destroyed and that “everyone around me was freaking out,” according to The Western Journal.

Rex Stockton, another resident of Clarksville, recounted the terrifying experience of having the roof of his house ripped off during the brief but intense tornado. “There were whole houses that are just gone,” he observed, as reported by WSMV-TV.
The Nashville Office of Emergency Management revealed that a building collapse at a church resulted in 13 injuries, according to CBS.

Shanika Washington, a resident of Clarksville, shared her harrowing experience of seeking refuge in the basement with her two children (aged 5 and 10) upon hearing the warning sirens. “It was very terrifying and scary,” she recalled. “The back door absolutely did fly open, and you just heard a bunch of wind. The blinds and stuff were shaking really bad. I could tell that we were dead smack in the middle of a storm.” When she emerged, she discovered damaged cars and homes, scattered grills, and missing roofs, as reported by the Associated Press.
