Schwarzenegger: Surgeons’ Mistake Nearly Killed Me
Arnold Schwarzenegger had a terrifying experience during open-heart surgery.
In a recent video posted on YouTube, the 76-year-old actor shared the incident that occurred just before he was set to film “Terminator: Dark Fate.”
Schwarzenegger recalled waking up after his third open-heart surgery to doctors delivering unexpected news. They had made a mistake during the procedure, puncturing his heart wall and forcing them to quickly open him up again to save his life.
Despite the frightening experience, Schwarzenegger remained determined to recover as quickly as possible. He emphasized the importance of moving forward and shifting gears in difficult situations.
To aid in his recovery, Schwarzenegger called on his friends for support. He needed to exercise his lungs to prevent pneumonia, which could be fatal. Despite feeling like an “idiot” as he waddled through the hospital hallways, he pushed himself to get back in shape and resume his training for the film.
Schwarzenegger credited his support team for helping him bounce back. With their encouragement, he was able to successfully complete filming for “Terminator 6” and make a full recovery.
