While visiting the Siwa Oasis in Egypt, Evangeline Lilly took to Instagram to share her thoughts on society’s view of masculinity and femininity. The actress, known for her roles in Lost and Ant-Man, has a fan base of over two million followers on the platform.

Lilly questioned why society applauds masculinity in women but villainizes it in men, and why femininity in men is praised while it is debased in women.
