Anna Paulina Luna calls on DOJ to be ‘aggressively’ pursuing criminals: ‘Get on it’

Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is urging the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) too take immediate action against individuals promoting violence, asserting that citizens are frustrated by the lack of results. Her call for action follows a spate of vandalism incidents, including protests at Tesla dealerships and a concerning call for violence from a student at George Mason University targeting members of the Trump management.

Luna has been advocating for the DOJ to aggressively pursue those violating federal laws and hindering the interests of the American public. She expressed dissatisfaction over a lack of response from the DOJ regarding her previous criminal referrals regarding sanctuary city mayors. She attributes the rise in violent acts to a shift towards a secular society and an alleged trend in the media toward fearmongering.Additionally, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has also called for investigations into violent incidents, including an arson attack against Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

Anna Paulina Luna calls on DOJ to be ‘aggressively’ pursuing criminals: ‘Get on it’

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) urged the U.S. Department of Justice to “get on” pursuing people advocating violence across the nation, suggesting people are “tired” of seeing no results.

Luna’s call comes after multiple acts of vandalism have occurred across the country, including at several Tesla dealerships, to protest Elon Musk. Last week, a student at George Mason University in Virginia published a piece on Substack, saying, “We must decide when we must kill” members of the Trump administration, prompting the school to contact police.

Luna said she believes the Justice Department should be “aggressively” pursuing people who are “knowingly breaking federal law” and undermining the agenda of the United States and its residents.

“What I will tell you, Jesse, is that if we’re talking on things like sanctuary city mayors. For example, I did a criminal referral for some of these mayors to the Department of Justice, and we haven’t heard anything back yet,” Luna explained on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “So they need to get on it, because frankly, I think the American people are tired of Congress saying that things need to happen and then obviously nothing happening.”

Luna continued by suggesting these acts of violence stem from a lot of people not being “religiously-based” and pushing for a secular society. Another factor at play, she argued, is how legacy media has worked toward “fearmongering” these people, and encouraged people like herself to use their free speech to resist the ideologies that protesters are pushing.

Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has encouraged the Justice Department to investigate the arson attack on Gov. Josh Shapiro’s (D-PA) residence. Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the attack and told reporters last week she wants the person responsible to end up “behind bars as long as possible.”

Trump said alleged arsonist Cody Balmer was “probably just a whack job.”
