Alec Baldwin Baffled That He, Not The Gun, Will Be Charged With Manslaughter

Mary Carmack – Altwies District Attorney announced Alec Baldwin, an actor and antigun activist, is expected to be charged on Thursday with two counts for involuntary killing in connection to the shooting death of Halyna Huschins at the Western movie set “Rust.” According to prosecutors Baldwin was responsible for pointing a gun at Hutchins, and failing to ensure that the gun’s allegedly dummy ammunition and gun were properly tested.

Baldwin’s blatant disregard for firearm safety is causing him to be stunned by the punishment. His lawyer claims the charges against him are a felony. “terrible miscarriage of justice.” Baldwin is an anti-Second Amendment activist and has a history of demonizing guns in criminal shootings rather than the person who pulled the trigger. It is not surprising that he is being brought to trial, but the weapon.

Baldwin believes that everyone and everything is responsible for the shooting. To skirt responsibility, Baldwin has insisted The staff claimed that the weapon was empty and that he didn’t pull it (a claim the FBI forensically examined). report It is impossible to believe that this statement could be true. Yet even if Baldwin’s gun had fired without him pulling the trigger, Baldwin would still be at fault for failing to follow safety protocol.

John R. Lott Jr. is president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, writes, “The first rule of gun safety is you don’t point a gun at something unless you intend to shoot it. Even if you believe the gun is unloaded, you don’t point it directly at others.” Baldwin didn’t follow the first rule, when he recklessly pointed his gun at Hutchins.  

“The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd,” said Halyna’s husband, Matt Hutchins, in an interview with Today. As absurd as it might seem, though, that’s exactly what Baldwin and other anti-gun activists want us to believe. 

Baldwin has been a vocal critic of the National Rifle Association and other pro-Second Amendment organizations. Baldwin joined an array of Hollywood elites in 2018 “No Rifle Association Initiative,” Which sought to reduce the NRA’s influence. Baldwin got into a Twitter spat Dana Loesch was an ex-NRA spokesperson in the same year. She tweeted that Loesch “doesn’t care how many dead bodies she has to step over in [her] pursuit” To defend the Second Amendment and to add that the Second Amendment must be “rethought.” 

Baldwin and other anti-Second Amendment activists seem to have missed philosophy 101. Inanimate objects such as firearms aren’t necessarily evil. However, the actions of gun-wielders can be. 

Let’s take, for instance. last JulyOn September 5, three people were shot and killed by a gunman at a Greenwood, Indiana mall. The assailant was also killed by another man, a 22-year-old legally armed man. The men who fired the guns took three lives, while one shot the active threat, saving more innocents. 

Baldwin didn’t intend to kill Hutchins.
