Aaron Rodgers Says The NFL Threatened To Not Pay Players And Force Teams To Forfeit Over Vaccination Status
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently detailed that the NFL threated to not pay players and force teams to forfeit if they did not comply with the league’s desired percentage of vaccinated players.
Rodgers appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience where he outlined they “were going to virtue signal to say, ‘Look how righteous our league is. We have 95% compliance with the vaccine. And if you don’t we’re going to send a stooge to your team to show you graphs of your vaccination percentage of your team compared to the rest of the league.’ Which actually happened.”

He went on to explain his interactions with this stooge saying, “I mopped the floor with them.”
“Yeah, see, again, that why people were like, ‘No one knew your vaccination status. You lied to your teammates.’ No, no, no. Day 3 of training camp they sent a stooge in and he showed these slides about what your vaccination percentage was on your team, where you [were] compared to the rest of the league. And I started asking him questions about liability. ‘Well, I’m not a lawyer.’” he elaborated.
“Okay, cool. But you are in here talking about all these different things and you don’t talk about anybody’s personal health issues. There’s zero exemptions. You took out religious exemptions. You took out PEG exemptions. You took out anybody’s ability to have an opinion that, ‘I don’t want to do this.’”
“Well, it’s not only go to affect your day-to-day status on a team, but your ability to get a job, your ability to keep a job, your ability to get a tryout if you get cut from this team,” he continued. Because you want to put a percentage above 90% of your team where you guys can have some sort of like special virtue, like, ‘Look how amazing we are way above the 90% threshold here!’”
Rodgers then told Rogan, “And then they scared teams and said if you had an outbreak caused by a non vaccinated player. You not only forfeited that game if you had enough players out, but you wouldn’t get paid for that week.”
“And here I am showing up to training camp, Joe, the first day and we got five people who work for the organization out with Covid, all fully vaxxed. And I got Covid from a fully vaxxed individual, who only got vaxxed to keep his potential of being apart of the NFL,” he asserted.
Earlier in their interview, Rodgers also detailed that NFL set up a class system between unvaccinated players and vaccinated players.
He explained, “One of the most difficult parts about the whole process was that there was clearly two classes of player at the facility: the vaxxed and the unvaxxed.”
He then explained the vaccinated players’ privileges, “The vaxxed had full privileges. They tested once every two weeks. They had full privileges on the road. They could go out to dinner on the road. They could go to a concert in town. They could go to a comedy show in town. They could be at any place they wanted to and live life normally.”
“Non-vaxxed: fully masked, zero privileges on the road, could not go into establishments more than 15 people. You could not be around more than three individuals from the team outside the facility,” he listed out. “All these different — what I think now we all realize were crazy policies.”

Rodgers would go on to reveal that the unvaccinated and vaccinated were also separated via colored wrist bands.
He told Rogan, “We were given wrist bands too. So everybody in the facility knew who was vaxxed and who wasn’t vaxxed. Vaxxed was green. Non-vaxxed was yellow.”
“There was a lot of public shaming that was attempted to coerce people to get vaccinated,” he continued. “Because not only are you wearing a yellow wrist band, you’re the only ones wearing masks.”
Rodgers continued, “And you have to work out by yourself. You can’t work out with your teammates.”
When questioned by Rogan about drills, Rodgers did reveal, “Well, you could at practice, but weight room stuff — our hour weight room every day — we are working out on the side. Just the seven of us not vaxxed.”
He also previously talked about how non-vaccinated individuals were discriminated against by the NFL saying, “My non-vaxxed teammates, who were on the bubble. So 53 guys make the active roster, 16 on the practice squad. So that’s 69 guys on the squad. There’s 90 in camp. So of the, I said 7, I think there’s about 10 guys not vaxxed. Only a few of us were guaranteed roster spots. Like we were going to be on the team, and there were a lot of bubble guys.”
“There was talk around the league how general managers were not going to keep bubble non-vaxxed players. So they were already up against it,” he elaborated. “Not only did non-vaxx players have a harder chance of making the squad, but they also had an almost zero percent opportunity to get a workout afterward.”
He explained, “So if you get cut and the season starts, every Tuesday during the football season most teams will bring in anywhere from 5 to 15 guys for workouts just to see who is out there, is there any players that can add to the roster. So if you weren’t vaxxed you had a very low percentage of not just keeping a job, but of even getting a job opportunity, a workout.”
