Brian Laundrie’s father momentarily came out of hiding to tear down a protest sign from his front lawn. Photos from Saturday show Chris Laundrie ripping down a sign on his Florida home that read “What if this happened to Cassie?” implying his inaction or the possibility he helped his son evade authorities.

Cassie Laundrie, Brian’s sister, has publicly called for her brother to turn himself in, but has said she doesn’t know if her parents are involved in his disappearance.

A manhunt has been underway for Brian since he vanished Sept. 13, two weeks after returning home to Florida without Gabby Petito. Petito’s body was found Sept. 19 in Wyoming and her death has been ruled a homicide.

Brian’s disappearance has kickstarted widespread searches and even more accusations against Petito’s former fiancé. Although Brian hasn’t been accused of involvement in Petito’s death, he remains the sole person of interest and currently faces an arrest warrant for debit card fraud.

The couple was pulled over while they were having an emotional fight. Petito was reported missing by her family a month later and is now the subject of a nationwide search.
