Calif. couple fatally shot after dispute over parking spot

A search has been underway in Southern California for the suspects who shot and killed a couple in Long Beach. The incident happened over the weekend near the couple’s home and police said it may have been sparked by a dispute over a parking spot.
According to reports, Juan Guizar-Gutierrez and his wife Maricela Honorato were attempting to park their car on Saturday night when two men in another car drove up behind them and began to yell. Several gunshots were fired and the couple were both shot in the upper body.

Police confirmed the man died at the scene and the woman’s daughter, who was nearby, rushed to help her mother. She later died at the hospital.
“She was still half alive,” the daughter stated. “I tried my best, telling her to hold on and that I loved her, but on the way to the hospital her heart gave out.”
No arrests have been made and police asked for witnesses to come forward with any information regarding the shooting.
